What is Documentary Wedding Photography?
The real story of your wedding from a guests-eye point of view
A Documentary Wedding Photographer will tell the story of your day, through candid, unposed images.
It allows you to spend all your time with your friends and family, without any awkward posing or hours of formal group shots.
Documentary Wedding Photography, for me, is about weaving the images together to tell the tale of your wedding.
This genre of wedding photography has several different names;
wedding photojournalism, documentary wedding photography and reportage wedding photography.
I don’t believe there is any difference between the names generally, apart from, perhaps, what the bridal magazines see as the fashionable way to describe natural, storytelling wedding photography.
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Sunny Brazil but I am happy to call England my home, been here for last 20 years now. Daria is from Sunny Poland and been here for last 8 years .
HOW MANY IMAGES DO WE WILL RECEIVE?
I believe in quality over quantity. You can expect 400-700 images of your wedding. This is an average number for a full day wedding. For 6 hours booking usually 300 to 400
CAN WE RECEIVE RAW OR UNEDITED IMAGES?
No , all Photos will be delivered on Jpgs formats at the Photgrapher discretion
DO YOU TRAVEL?
Yes! I absolutely love traveling and shooting in new locations! No travel costs
DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?
Yes.
DO YOU SHOOT FORMAL PORTRAITS?
Of course! I don't showcase a lot of family portraits in my galleries but I always make sure to set aside some time for formal photos.
We require a family member to help organize these shoots, we could do it but we dont know anyone of the party so we would get lost looking for uncle Jon etc :)
HOW DO WE HIRE YOU?
Complete the contact form and I will get back to you with my availability, fill the Booking form , pay the deposit and we are ready to rock :)
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE THE FINAL GALLERY OF IMAGES?
It's one thing to spend 8 hours photographing someone's wedding, and it's a whole OTHER thing to choose the best images and edit them to look the absolute best that they can. It can also be a time consuming process - you don't want to rush these! I know how excited you are to receive the final gallery - trust me, I've been there. But I promise you the wait is worth it! On average, couple sessions, engagements and proposals usually take about 2-4 weeks and full weddings/larger events will be delivered somewhere around 5 -6 weeks. The wait WILL be worth it.
Weeding Films will be ready 12 weeks from the date we delivery the Photos and Wedding Album 4 to 6 weeks from the date you send us he Photos you pick for the album.
MY GETTING READY ROOM WILL BE VERY MESSY , COULD YOU CLEAN FOR ME OR REMOVE UNWANTED OBJECTS WITH PHOTOSHOP?
We dont clean room and dont use Photoshop , please please keep the room tide and will look excellent for the photos , if is dirty and messu will not so nice.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
We are here to document REAL moments. Not perfect moments, not curated Pinterest moments (although there are some amazing ones out there!), but YOUR moments.
The good, the funny, the inappropriate, the wild and crazy and the real. No matter how your day unfolds, I will be there to help you remember it all. Will I prompt you? Of course! There is a time and place for that in your day (especially when we capture those breathtaking portraits of the two of you — we LOVE a good portrait).
What we won’t do is interrupt the flow of your day to capture something in a way that it didn’t organically happen. We will be there to photograph you as you (but in the most beautiful light possible). We promise.
Lastly, my editing style adds depth, but keeps things real - because in 20 years you want to remember yourself as you were - beautiful, happy and in love.
